I'm Sean, owner of Mane Events which has been proudly helping people celebrate some of the biggest days/nights of their lives for over 13 years and counting. Whatever the celebration, my goal for Mane Events is to bring more fun, energy & excitement from the music, while making the booking and communication process a breeze.

 

I have over 27 years experience as a Professional DJ and over my career I have had the pleasure of being a resident DJ at virtually all the venues (bars, pubs and nightclubs) in Newcastle and the Hunter Valley, plus guest appearances at venues up and down the coast from Port Macquarie and into Sydney CBD.  Music is my passion and it has led to win the inaugural “Who Is DJ Moo?” National DJ Competition, plus his original track “Rippin It” placed 5th in an International DJ Poll.  I have had guest sets at both the 2007 (where I played the closing set after the legendary Sneaky Sound System) and 2008 Groovin the Moo Festivals and in early 2011 one of my many promo-mixes received radio air time on Raw FM's "Club Raw". I have received international praise via Free Breaks Blog and also focused more on production, which resulted in a 2013 signing to funk based label Actual Sounds. During my Professional DJ career I have supported acts like Sneaky Sound System, The Potbelleez, Yolanda Be Cool, Hook N Sling, Dirty Laundry, Midnight Juggernauts, Mark Dynamix, Kate Monroe, British India, Afro Moses and the Resin Dogs to name just a few. I also formed a DJ based live band called Soda, which featured my original tracks, remixes & mash-up’s combined with live vocals, sax and percussion and we toured throughout regional NSW.

 

However, after the birth of my beautiful twin daughters, my priorities changed and I needed to start a new musical direction and so began my new journey into becoming a Professional Wedding DJ/MC. I am proud to say at the end of 2025, I have now surpassed 600 wedding bookings in my career so far ... and what a magical journey that has been with Mane Events.  Adding on Professional MCing services was also an easy addition for me - find out more here about that - MCing Services.
